🔍 Job Purpose

As an Electronic R&D Engineer, ou will lead the design, development, protyping and testing of electronic systems for advanced biomedical devices. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team working at the intersection of electronics, firmware, and biomechanics to create cutting-edge assistive technologies.


🛠 Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Design and development of mixed-signal (analog/digital) electronic circuits for embedded systems
  • Supervise prototyping, testing, debugging, and validation of electronic boards and subsystems
  • Collaborate with firmware and mechanical teams to ensure system-level integration
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance throughout product lifecycle
  • Perform electrical and functional laboratory measurements
  • Develop microcontroller-based firmware for real-time systems
  • Conduct technical reporting, testing documentation, and maintain R&D records
  • Monitor industry trends and perform competitive analysis
  • Contribute to the protection of company Intellectual Property
  • Participate in the selection and qualification of suppliers and components
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures and standards for R&D warehouse usage


✅ Skills and qualifications we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electronic or Communication Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Mechatronics
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electronic desing in R&D department
  • Strong expertise in PCB design with ECAD software (e.g., Altium, Eagle, KiCad)
  • Familiarity with laboratory instruments and debug tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers).
  • Experience with PCB assembly and rework
  • Good knowledge of microcontroller firmware development (C/C++)
  • Fluent in both English and Italian (spoken and written)
  • Proficiency in Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A lean thinking mindset and an innovation-driven approach
  • Familiarity with IP management and certification procedures is a plus
